Discuss Supergirl

...because they think we're rapists and murderers...

eye roll x 1,000,000,000,000

They simply won't give up on their tired bullshit. I wonder if the left is upset about the Clintons selling 20% of US uranium reserves to the Russians? Or is it ok to collude with the Russians as long as you're a Democrat? wink

The other CW DC shows are much less political than Supergirl. They have had moments where they push some political point but overall they don't come anywhere near the level that Supergirl has done. LOT pushed a lot of race baiting stuff in season 1 but have toned that down since. They are all pretty low rated but Supergirl has taken a bigger hit in the ratings than the others have.

How much of the ratings drop would you attribute to fans getting turned off by the political stuff? Or do you think the quality of the show has taken that big of a dip?

It's really hard to say. I think weak writing overall may have a lot to do with it. But the in your face, holier than thou, political stuff, I think is a contributing factor.

Yeah, I think both the crappy writing and constant political browbeating have done their part. I think the biggest factors causing a decline have been Supergirl's reduced role in her own show (because of all the forced inclusion of so many other characters like The Guardian, Mon-El, etc.), the absurd excessive focus on Mon-El, how he's treated Supergirl, how he's a rather regressed, reprehensible character who's easy to detest, and the excessive focus on martians, especially at the expense of human villains like Livewire and Silver Banshee.

Mon-El needs to be gone for good, the martian stuff needs to be toned down, the human villains need to be brought back more, and the show needs to focus mostly on Supergirl. Most people are tuning in for Melissa Benoist, so she needs to be featured much more.

She's the only reason I tune in, yet I feel like half the time she's not even on her own show.
