The show begins with a very interesting episode that introduces what seems like an original plot idea. Henrik Mestad is the Prime Minister, elected on a platform of moving from fossil fuel to clean energy, is rapidly introducing his pollution reducing energy program to the nation as oil production in the North Seas is halted. Norway is alone in taking this premature step. He finishes a speech and boards a helicopter but finds armed, masked men on board who pull him inside by force and take off. They are Russian soldiers working in concert with the European Union to force Norway to resume oil production needed by the rest of Europe. Even Norway's neighbor and ally Sweden is in league with the Russians, who give the PM a choice. He can agree to resume oil production, or he will be forcibly removed from Norway and oil production will resume without him.

I hope the series continues to hold my attention as well as this first episode. I have high hopes for it. I am impressed with what I have seen of Norwegian television so far. I just watched an excellent series called Nobel. The only criticism I have of that show is that they only made 8 episodes. It is excellent. I also watched Lillyhammer a couple years ago on Netflix and enjoyed it a lot as well. It was a drama comedy, and Henrik Mestad had a supporting role in that show as well. And there is the slapstick series Norsemen which is very good, if you like that kind of comedy.

So I am thinking of having a law passed which will require Norway to make more television shows and put them on Netflix.
