The longest ever documentary to be nominated for an Oscar.

Congratulations for the win.

Yes, unfortunately the envelope drama has overshadowed some of the other important wins of the night. This one was incredibly well-deserved.

I spent my New Year's Day watching this entire film at a local theatre. It was a breathtaking documentary and absolutely deserved to win. I always tell people it's about so much more than OJ.

It was a good doc, and I'm glad it won. However, I think anything with this run time is more of a series than a film. I couldn't imagine watching the whole thing in one sitting. It worked well in parts.

@TheBayHarborButcher As someone who did watch it in one sitting, I feel like it's definitely doable only because it's so insanely interesting from start to finish that I didn't even notice the time passing. However, people have different tolerances for how long they can sit in a theatre or even sit watching something at home, so I get it. When I saw it the theatre gave us 15-minute breaks between each part, plus a 30-minute break for dinner. Even still, when I told my boyfriend about it his response was "Have fun going alone, because that sounds like a ****ing nightmare" sweat_smile

Very true. The way in which it gives details of OJ's trail, the context of race relations, etc makes for absorbing viewing.
