Discuss Victoria

I thought tonight's episode was excellent - easily one of the two best and most compelling of Season 2. (The other S. 2 episode, so far, I consider best was the second one.) But I have a question about it.

When Francatelli meets a couple times with the American woman named Anna, is she someone who's appeared before? (I don't at all recall her.) She was trying to persuade Francatelli to go to America with her and I guess to sell his story, about working at the palace, to newspapers there? That's the general conclusion I reached. Is there something, between Francatelli and Anna, from a past episode that I'm forgetting? Who's she to him?

If anyone is able to explain about that storyline, I'll appreciate it.

I do not recall an Anna from a past episode. I have 2 PBS stations (KBTC & KCTS) in my area but I can't get the one that airs Victoria on Sunday (KCTS). I watch it on the 'red-headed stepchild' station (KBTC), which is 8 days behind. I have just watched 'Entente Cordiale' (episode 5). I'm thinking maybe this Anna person is the one that Archie saw him kissing in the lane & also the one that sent him a 'billet-doux' in this episode?

Thanks for the reminders about those shots, brat. I'll bet you're right about her being the woman seen being kissed. She must also be who gave Francatelli the watch that plays a role in the most recent episode. American Anna sure isn't a face or personality that is at all recalled from previously.

My area gets two different cities' (each quite a distance from me) PBS stations. Each of them air Masterpiece (the same episode or episodes thereof) on Sunday nights, usually at the exact same time, though sometimes an hour apart. The two stations normally do the same with all the other usual type main series, documentaries, nature shows, etc. that PBS airs in primetime on any given evening.
