Discuss Love, Death & Robots

The 3rd season of this series falls woefully short of the 1st season, and is not an improvement over the 2nd season. The 2nd season, IMO, had at least 5 episodes out of the 8 made, which felt like completed stories. As where this 3rd season I could say only 3 episodes out of the 8 made, felt like completed stories. I think the company tried to make the stories which didn't have definitive endings seem as if they were philosophically ambiguous, but fell short of that effect. The unsated endings resulted in making the entire production seem just that, incomplete. The writers look no better for the after affect in that it made them look lazy, unimaginative, and apathetic to thier work. After a story the viewer should be left with a feeling, to an open-ended morally ambiguous ending, a sense of intrigue; thinking on the many possibilities of how the story might have concluded. Not left with a feeling of "What the hell was that!?" or "Is that it!?!" I.e., frustration.

Even the episodes I liked were mostly 5/10s, felt as if the writers struggled under some unseen cloud which muted possible avenues of great intrigue, spice, and excitement; all the things the 1st season had and more. The difference in entertainment quality between the 1st season and the "2nd & 3rd" seasons is glaringly apparent. And like most viewing in the western world nowadays, one has to wonder IF there is another season, would it even be worth it to watch?? [shakes the magic 8 ball] tiny pyramid's answer: "....don't get your hopes up."
