Filmul "Tres metros sobre el cielo" (Trei metri deasupra cerului) spune povestea de dragoste dintre Babi, o elevă exemplară la o şcoală privată şi un tip pe nume Hugo Oliviera, pe care lumea îl strigă Hache. Deşi la început cei doi nu se suportă, deoarece Babi face parte dintr-o clasă superioară lui Hache, iar acesta este pasionat de motociclete, curse şi viteză, într-un final între cei doi se va înfiripa sentimentul de dragoste, deşi această iubire nu este pe placul părinţilor lui Babi. Tânăra va descoperi ce înseamnă fiorii primei iubiri, dar va trece şi prin momente de nefericire.
