Ko Chun is an extremely talented and well known gambler. On the eve of a big confrontation with a famous Singaporean gambler, Ko walks into a trap set by Knife, an avid but a so-so gambler, meant for an Indian neighbour. Struck on the head, Ko suffers from amnesia and regresses to a child-like state. Knife takes care of Ko and begins to exploit Ko's gambling talents.

August 18, 1990

Sing, a dumb, lovable mainlander with supernatural powers comes to China to visit his uncle Tat. When it's revealed that Sing can see through objects, Tat employs him as "The Saint of Gamblers," and proceeds to set him loose in the gambling world.

December 13, 1990

Sing finds Michael "Dagger" Chan in order to become Ko Chun's next disciple, but the two must put aside their differences when they discover that a gang boss is bent on ruining the God of Gamblers' name.

March 7, 1991

Sing and Mei are two siblings with special powers which the former uses to gamble. When both are unavailable, a gangster hires Fanny, a con artist, to compete in a gambling competition.

While battling a psychic gambler, Sing hurtles back in time to 1937 Shanghai. Now he must come to grips with his family history and get back to 1991.

Ko Chun, the God of Gamblers, vows to keep his identity hidden while looking for the gangsters who murdered his pregnant wife.

Ray Thai is the tyrant of gamblers in Macau. He puts forward a masked Saint Of Gamblers to cover for him in the casino. Meanwhile, Uncle Tat has lost his livelihood since the real Saint of Gamblers retired. He sets out in search of the new Saint. He discovers God Bless You, who possesses extraordinary powers and takes him under his wing.

Following Ko Chun's earlier years as he battles for the position he was destined for: The God of Gamblers.
