Overview
Nanase Haruka, whose high school life has become gloomy, suddenly meets his former comrade Matsuoka Rin one day. However, currently, Matsuoka Rin has a completely different personality from before. At the same time, Rin faces Haruka, and a challenge was presented, which resulted in Rin winning. Taking this as an opportunity, hoping to have a chance to see Rin again during the competition, Haruka accepted Hazuki Nagisa's proposal to create a swimming club, and decided to regroup with Tachibana Makoto and Hazuki Nagisa who are currently in the same school, and add new member Ryuzaki Rei, reviving the aquatics club of Iwatobi High School that was previously abandoned. A prequel to the 2013 Kyoto Animation series Free! which is an adaptation of light novel High☆Speed!
Haruka Nanase loves the water! Together with his friends Makoto, Nagisa and Rei, he founds the Iwatobi Swimming Club, where he can freely develop his own swimming style. Together with their old friend Rin and his team from the Samezuka Swimming Club, they compete in a wide variety of competitions. But what happens to the team after they graduate from school?
Rin Matsuoka loves swimming! Especially his childhood friend Haruka he wants to beat at all costs. But then his old friend Sosuke shows up, he is a lone fighter and wants to convince Rin to focus on himself. A turbulent time is ahead for all, in which they must realize what really counts for them.
