Item: Home Alone Collection

Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: Home Alone 3 to 6 are all standalone stories on the same premise as the first film. Are they appropriate for a collection if they're not following the same story or characters?

Home Alone 4 is Kevin from the first 2 movies, continuity issues aside, it had many of the same characters. Home alone 6 also features a grown up Buzz from 1 + 2 so that’s a direct connection. By your definition only 3 and 5 are invalid, but this doesn’t explain why only 5 and 6 have been removed. They’re also all definitely a collection, the whole “have to have the same characters” rule is too rigid and doesn’t always apply, they’re connected by a similar situation happening to different kids where the child ultimately sets traps to catch the “bad guys”, that plus the movies naming makes them feel very much related, at least to me 🤷🏼♂️

Hi, the current four movies are added due to an exception for marketing that is for numbered sequels only (1-4 in this case). The last two movies are not part of that exception and have been removed. In the future the final two movies can be part of a Home Alone Universe collection. Thanks.

When you say "5 & 6 can be added later", do you mean when another movie is made in the series or something else?

It means that when we support collections for a complete movie Universe, any movie made inside that universe can be added to such a collection, even if not being a true sequel.
