Overview
Two friends are run over by a subway train. They suddenly find themselves in a strange apartment with other people who have also just “died”. While everyone tries to understand their presence in this place, a mysterious black sphere appears and orders them to eliminate one by one the super-powerful creatures.

男主角玄野計在地鐵的月台看見小學時代的好友加藤勝。當時正義感強烈的加藤打算把摔落軌道上的醉漢抬上月台，因此向在場的玄野尋求協助。兩人卻一起遭進站的電車撞死。 瞬間，他們出現在一所高級公寓的室內，裡面聚集著本來應該死了的人們。房間中央有一個神秘的大黑球「GANTZ」。「GANTZ」給出指示：「消滅」外星人，然後所有人再被傳送到另一地方。 被神秘物體「GANTZ」聚集，應該死了的人們也不明白理由，他們必須與神秘的外星人作戰。他們為何必須戰鬥？並且，他們能夠生存下來嗎？

Before finding out the Perfect Answer, discover Another Gantz. Aired on Nippon Television network before the theatrical release of Gantz: The Perfect Answer, this film is an alternate perspective version of the first Gantz film from the same writing-directing team of the two-part theatrical film. In addition to condensed scenes from the Gantz film, Another Gantz features a new subplot that follows an investigative journalist not included in the theatrical film. 高中生加藤勝 和弟弟過著相依為命的生活，某日，加藤勝所在的地鐵站遭到了無差別殺人犯的襲擊，為了救人，加藤勝身中數刀不幸身亡，而當他再度睜開雙眼之時，卻發現自己完好無損的站在一個陌生的房間裡，眼前是一個黑色的詭異圓球。 和加藤勝在一起的，還有下平蕾佳、西丈一郎 和鈴木良一 三人，他們和加藤勝一樣，都是已死之人。蕾佳告訴滿頭霧水的加藤勝，黑色的圓球名叫“GANTZ”，而他們所要做的，是等待圓球下達的命令。這一次，四人被傳送到了大阪，他們所要面對的，是叫做“滑瓢”的怪物以及一場盛大的百鬼夜行，只有在GANTZ所規定的時間內殺掉所有的怪物，加藤勝才能夠得到再次回到弟弟身邊的機會
