2023 marked a pivotal year for RPWL as they unleashed their eleventh studio album, Crime Scene, onto the world stage. With its release, the album swiftly climbed various charts, securing an impressive No. 18 spot on the fiercely competitive German album charts. But the journey didn’t end there. Embarking on a sprawling European tour across eight countries, RPWL treated fans to electrifying performances in packed venues, many of which were sold out well in advance. As is evident on True Live Crime, Crime Scene naturally took center stage. The band delivered the album in its entirety, peppered with select gems from their extensive catalog dating back to 1997. Accompanied by a mesmerizing light show and meticulously crafted video clips, RPWL transformed each performance into a multisensory experience. Guitarist Kalle Wallner reflects, “With RPWL, the live versions often take on a life of their own. We like to stretch our legs and jam on stage.”
