Although the past two years have been challenging for the Theatre industry, they also showed its incredible strength and resilience. Through interviews with West End performers and creatives, this documentary outlines the difficulties presented to our industry over the course of the pandemic, as well as highlighting changes - both positive and negative - that have come from it. An emotional reflection on a battle it was worth fighting for. All profits will be going to 'Acting for Others', an organisation that provides support to all theatre workers through 14 member charities. We hope these stories full of passion for Theatre inspire you just as much as they inspired us!

Adam Jacobs was the original "Aladdin" in Disney's smash Broadway musical, with a list of other hits like Les Miserables and Something Rotten, but this docu-concert – filmed as a special one-night-only performance – explores his emotional personal journey, from growing up as a Filipino American in California to landing the role of a lifetime.

A theatrical journey through the history of the great musical master Stephen Sondheim, through his work, reimagined by Argentine musical artists. By young artists, in an atempt to put together the pieces that make him the grand master of musicals. To Sondheim, with passion, who continues being alive and is still driving us crazy with his creations.

As PlayhouseSquare celebrates its first 90 years, “Staging Success: The PlayhouseSquare Story” pays tribute to the people who were instrumental in saving the theaters and shows how the community worked together to create a cultural showplace in the heart of downtown Cleveland. This new documentary, a production of WVIZ/PBS, in collaboration with Think Media Studios, reveals a Cleveland rags-to-riches tale as dramatic as any on Broadway.

This intimate, uncannily moving documentary profiles Norma Canner, a pioneer in dance movement therapy, who found in dance a way to help people who had been discarded by society. The film traces the evolution of Norma's career from Broadway actress in the '40s, through her ground-breaking work in creative movement with disabled and mentally retarded children in the '60s, to her present work as a dance therapist with adults. Utilizing drawing, music, theater, and dance in the context of other modes of therapy, her work has proved extraordinarily beneficial for handicapped individuals, as well as providing cathartic healing experiences for those with deep emotional scars; And her work with children who were blind, deaf, or autistic has became a model.

Russian comedian Yakov Smirnoff examines the differences between men and women in this one-man show.

"On Broadway" featured Carol Channing and Pearl Bailey, both red hot after their respective runs in the smash hit "Hello, Dolly!" on Broadway. The special was filmed on the stage of the Wintergarden Theater in New York and originally aired on ABC in 1969. Together the theatrical legends playfully perform some of their most popular hits, including 'A Little Girl from Little Rock,' 'Little Green Apples,' 'If My Friends Could See Me Now,' and 'Won't You Come Home, Bill Bailey.' Next, they perform an assortment of familiar showtunes including hits from "Guys and Dolls," "The Music Man," "Hello, Dolly!," and "Fiddler on the Roof." "On Broadway" is an entertaining step back in time.

This concert program, from the London Palladium, begins with Minnelli singing “New York, New York” as an encore number to her show, then reflecting back 90 minutes to when she began the performance. Upon taking the stage, Minnelli opens with a medley of “Pick Yourself Up,” “Blue Skies.” and “I’m So Excited.” Next, Minnelli sings “Old Friends,” followed by “Wherever He Ain’t,” “Sad Songs (Say So Much),” “I Don’t Care Much,” “When the Sun Comes Out,” “I Couldn’t Be Happier (for You),” “London Town,” “I Don’t Want to Know,” “Some People,” and “Here’s to the Band.” After telling of how she recently turned forty, Minnelli sings “The Saga of Emma Finch”. Minnelli finishes singing “You’ve Let Yourself Go,” “He’s Funny That Way,” “I Love a Piano,” and “New York, New York.” Following a standing ovation, Minnelli is greeted backstage by her sister, Lorna Luft. Minnelli then encores with “Cabaret.” Finally, Minnelli returns to the stage for a final song: “The World Goes ‘Round.”

This is the second volume of ultra-rare oddities, obscurities and jaw-droppers that may be among the best 85 minutes Something Weird has ever assembled and almost all of them from the original negatives! Titles include The Martians (1962), Tops ‘n Tunes (1964), Swinger (1966), Slumber Party (196?), Chemical Pop (196?), The Assignation (1963), A Christmas Fantasy (196?), Woton’s Wake (1964) and some newly-discovered trailers for live midnight shows.

An all-dog cast (with human voiceovers) recreates famous scenes from early musical films, particularly The Broadway Melody. The finale is a chorus line of dogs performing "Singing in the Rain" spoofing Cliff Edwards' original version of the song in The Hollywood Revue of 1929. Also spoofed is Al Jolson's performance of "Mammy" in The Jazz Singer.
