Ma, nel frattempo, Anna (temporaneamente inviata presso la corte di Francia) ha fatto ritorno in Patria ed appare al re sotto una luce diversa. Riuscirà a farla divenire sua moglie ripudiando Caterina e imponendo lo strappo con la Chiesa Cattolica che porterà alla formazione della Chiesa Anglicana. Ma anche questa sarà una relazione tormentata.
