Acorn Antiques is a parodic soap opera written by Victoria Wood as a regular feature in the two seasons of Victoria Wood As Seen On TV, which ran from 1985 to 1987. It was turned into a musical by Wood, opening in 2005.

DJ & the Fro is an animated series on MTV. The show focuses on two co-workers, DJ and The Fro, who work at the fictitious company Oppercon Industries. They rarely do work, and instead look for funny videos on the Internet, which they comment on.

Within weeks of its debut, DJ & the Fro was moved from its 6:00 pm time slot to 12:30 am time slot due to the Parent Television Council deeming it "too racy for daytime t.v."

Harry Springer (Tim Healey) and Duggie Strachan (Clive Russell) are ex-Army pals who served in the Falkland Islands together. Duggie was an infantryman, up at the 'sharp end', while Harry was in the Catering Corps. Harry saved Duggie's life - at least, that's what Harry reckons. Nowadays, Harry is the proud owner of the seedy Olympic Hotel in Smethwick and Duggie, now a teacher, is one of his reluctant guests. The hotel is populated mainly by drunks, homeless people on Social Security, asylum seekers and illegal immigrants.

Do Eun Soo is a single woman in her 30s who lives a mundane life as an office worker, trying to get through tough times calmly with all the office survival skills she learnt through the years. Her predictable day-to-day life soon gets swept up in an office romance, with the arrival of a handsome new co-worker and a long-time colleague's sudden change of demeanor towards her.
