It's the summer of 2010, 14-year-old Alfiya and her 17-year-old brother Ahmed are home alone, bored out of their minds, they decide to do things to keep themselves entertained.

A lowly comic book shop owner discovers a mysterious young woman loitering in his shop, leading to an unlikely friendship.

Four best friends fart through their last years of college, hanging out, drinking and eating lots of sandwiches. Using break-ups and re-occurring scholastic failures to impose a quarter-life crisis, they take turns postponing responsibility, avoiding accountability, and looking for someone or something to substantiate their lives, all the while hedging their bets and mastering the art of treading water and getting away with it.

The two friends Bo and Quinn spend a few sunny weeks in their van in the countryside. The days flow into each other and the two talk about "what distinguishes humans from animals, boredom as a source of peace and creativity and what they like to do best when time stands still".
