ماجرای سریال از زمانی آغاز میشود که شهر لس انجلس در طی یک شورش توسط نیروهای خارجی مورد حمله قرار میگیره و همین موضوع دلیل خوبی برای دو دسته کردن مردم میشه و عده ای از مردم به عنوان مهاجر شناخته میشن و در پشت دیوارها قرار میگیرند و عده ای هم به عنوان انسانهای ظاهرن مهم در سوی دیگر دیوار قرار میگرند . ولی به دلایلی خود مردم نیز به دو دسته دیگر تقسیم میشوند . عده ای شورشی و عده ای هم به عنوان همدست با نیروهای خارجی… اما اصلیت ماجرا زمانی شروع میشود که پسر جاش هالووی را به سوی دیگر دیوار میبرند . جاش بسیار نگران است چون هر کس به آن سوی دیوار رفته ، دیگر باز نگشته . به همین دلیل تصمیم میگیرد که برای نجات پسرش به صورت غیر قانونی به آن سوی دیوار برود ولی به دلایلی که بعدا معلوم میشود در زمان عبور از درب وردی دیوار انفجاری رخ میدهد و آنها لو میروند . اما ماجرا زمانی عجیب میشود که جاش هالووی متوجه میشود که حضورش در سوی دیگر دیوار از قبل برنامه ریزی شده است...

Snapphanar is a Swedish miniseries which aired in three parts on Sveriges Television during Christmas 2006, directed by Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein. The historical drama is about the Snapphane peasant rebel movement which fought against the Swedish rule of Scania in the 17th century. The "Snapphanar" was a rebellion people, who fought secretly for Denmark during 1660-1700.

The miniseries were criticised by historians due to a perceived lack of historical accuracy. The Scanian nationalist attitudes portrayed in the series did not exist in the 17th century, and the term snapphane, which is used for self-identification in the series, was in fact a derogatory term used by Swedes.
