Well that is unfortunate.

I will contact Disney+ and have them look into the classification of "i-am-groot" as being inconsistent with their current method of classification. Hopefully once this problem is identified with Disney+ they will change the classification to show/series which is consistent with many elements of this show.

Even if they change it now, there will be no changes here, as we list the items based on their original release.

Well that is unfortunate.

I would have thought that an error correction would be propagated accordingly instead of perpetuating the initial problem. Maybe a special case could be made on 'themoviedb.org' if Disney+ makes a change to correct their categorization of this material?

I don't know why Disney suddenly changed their listing after almost a full year but we will most likely not change how they're listed.

If the new shorts are listed as the second season when they're released (which looks like it will be the case), the TV entry on TMDB will probably have to start with those episodes as the first season instead since those were actually released as episodes of a TV show while the first 5 were originally listed as five separate shorts.

I really see no reason to get so attached to something, if even Disney didn't get attached. Disney shouldn't have released it as movies, it was evident and that it was more like episodes of a show, they realized that, it's just missing TMDB to realize it too.

It's so sad to see the moderators choosing not to put first season on the show's page, only to "be right". "I'm Groot" it's a TV Show, it's awalys has been, since the beginning. This is a mess!

The word is stubbornness. Occurs when you are not flexible. The big question is that everything in life requires flexibility, otherwise it breaks by force.
