After the body of a young woman is recovered from Lake Mattsee, the two cops not only face a major professional challenge that takes them into the dark past, but also come into contact with Mattsee's dark history and reach their limits privately.

Die Leiche einer 17-Jährigen wird aus dem Mattsee gezogen. Der im gleichnamigen Ort aufgewachsene Chefinspektor Dorner übernimmt den Fall – da er aber nach einem traumatischen Erlebnis mehrmals im Dienst negativ aufgefallen ist, wird ihm die junge Ermittlerin Alex als „Aufpasserin“ zugeteilt. Schnell wird der Fall für Dorner persönlich: Die Tote ist die Tochter seiner Jugendfreundin.
