Anybody see this when it was repeated for TCM's "31 Days of Oscars"? I always liked this Western because it showed different groups of real people in believable situations (for 1962 standards). It looks like there was some attention to detail in the settings also. Like in the short scene of the Battle Of Shiloh: the inside of Shiloh church, the peach orchard, the Bloody Pond, the mass Confederate graves were all depicted by someone who knew something about the battle. "Col. Potter" as Grant and tall John Wayne playing the short Sherman did kind of throw me off, tho'
