I mean he was a geek before eveything, you knew it . He hung out with you guys and you seemed to enjoy his company. Why after all that you cant stay friends with the guy.

Because that's just it they were fakes. They realized later on that he was the same guy as before, but they were shallow, liked the image more than the man and was crushed when they found out that it was lies.
I think Cindy saw right through that and I'm surprised she didn't stop hanging out with them after the way they treated her. I mean she breaks up with a guy and her friends are jumping on his bone a week later. What kinda friend would do that?
