Williams is onderweg naar Ellen Gorman om een eind te maken aan de aanleg van een weg. Hij heeft de outlaw Buck ingehuurd, die zich uitgeeft voor Billy the Kid. Wanneer de echte Billy the Kid de ‘Wanted’ posters van hem ziet, verneemt hij van de moorden die hij zogenaamd begaan zou hebben. Billy gaat jacht maken op de oplichter en krijgt daarbij hulp van zijn trouwe vriend Fuzzy. Zijn andere vriend, marshal Jeff Carson, blijkt echter een arrestatiebevel voor hem te hebben.

Williams is out to stop Ellen Goreham from completing her road that is under construction and is using a man to impersonate Billy the Kid. When Billy sees the wanted posters and learns of the murders he supposedly committed, he sets out to find the imposter. His sidekick Fuzzy is there to help him but his friend Jeff, now a Marshal, is also after him.

Williams est là pour empêcher Ellen Goreham de terminer sa route en construction et utilise un homme pour se faire passer pour Billy the Kid. Lorsque Billy voit les affiches recherchées et apprend les meurtres qu'il aurait commis, il se met à la recherche de l'imposteur. Son acolyte Fuzzy est là pour l'aider mais son ami Jeff, maintenant maréchal, est aussi après lui.
