I wonder why they make such a big deal about it and never reveal who they are?
It's almost certainly meant to be an important connecting thread, like Luke's ancestry, explicitly designed to get audiences taking and serve as a major reveal in a later film. The way in which Rey has been calculatingly designed to mimic and then supersede Luke is the key reason I resent these sequels and why I refuse to see TLJ for now.
