Can't believe this got into the movie and with a PG rating
It was a funny line and i laughed which was very inappropriate

The way u see it, its there for dramatic purposes. The police was there because of the identity theft situation but that's not enough to trigger the parents against him. I wouldn't say it was inappropriate, Dewey was being naive about the whole situation.
