I watched this again on TV some weeks ago after many years, and I found it hillariously imaginative especially after the TFA rehash. Portman was pretty hot too, but I always found her head too big for that body, but that's just me.

LOL! I never heard that one before. You mean like a Peanuts character?

AOTC is better than TFA.
After a few more viewings, I think Attack of the Clones is fantastic. The story is the most important part, of course, but the CGI work was spectacular, especially showing all the troops. I'm glad these movies at are getting the appreciation they deserve, even if it's 20 years later.

Well, AOTC is the only prequel that I feel is actually really good. But I still watch them all in a marathon....

And of course, Natalie's abs isn't a bad thing either.

She had to do something to make up for her acting in this one. Lol

It is the core chapter where you see the Empire grow out oft the Republic like a cancer (eg with ship designs); it's very imaginative and has a lot of interesting elements including film noir.
As for CGI, true with the clones, note that back then 2002 the degree of CGI was unusual - but really for modern days it's not that much, it just gets grossly overstated and criticized. For instance the spaceships were mostly models, whereas in the current Disney SW all are CGI. Here is one cool video covering the beautiful miniatures work:

I'm pretty sure I remember reading that while many practical ship models were made, they were used as a basis for their CGI counterparts in the actual film.
Not that it matters to me. As long as the movie is good, I don't care how the effect is achieved....

well the videos suggests that there is a lot of model work going on. Eg I remember that these great silver ships from Naboo in I, II and III were (and still are) undoable/fake looking with CGI so that they had to do it for "real". I am sure that many of the ships in the background are CGI though.
Anyway, look at the vid's model work in Ep II alone. The urban myth is that it's all CGI (probably confusing digital cameras with CGI), well they may go home and rethink that narrative...

They're nice, but really can't hold a candle to Caity Lotz's.

Very fond of her as well. Abs are great on a woman.

Sometimes bad acting can be easily overlooked. :)

I liked how she looked but honestly, I'm a fan of women with a little chubby belly too. It makes for a nice pillow while watching movies :)
I will say that other than that, for most of the prequels, I didn't pay much attention to Padme. I was too busy trying to stay awake.
