In someways I see it like they dont know what zombies are. The drug use and parties. No references to a zombie apocalypse like four showed.

But some of the characters have death scenes here. I hope sci-fi really wasn't going to have them show up in the next still alive anyway and go on like nothing happened? If they changed their minds on the events ok, but put realism into it.
