Discuss King Arthur: Legend of the Sword

This is a hard one to sum up. The cast is good but the film runs like his Caper movies and has some real liberties taken with the source material. It is easy to pick it apart but it is also decent if not compelling entertainment. Not one you would buy to put in your DVD collection but one that entertains and is forgotten.

So really, how bad was Beckham's little cameo?

I did not even notice. Saw the character and my wife told me it was him. I had to pause and then said, oh yes it is .

The only reason I asked was because I saw a few 'headlines' at various places today about him being 'royally skewered' for his 'performance'.

It was a small part and he was ok, I have seen far worse efforts.

Never thought I'd see again an Arthurian movie as bad as First Knight, but this may be it! Is it left open for a sequel?

The orginal plan was to make a multitude of movies focusing on different Knights of the Round Table.

There will definitely not be a sequel. This is shaping up to be one of the all time biggest box office bombs.

Europe will be the proving point as so far it is doing ok there. The issue is the studio. Placing it between GOTG2 and Alien Covenant was a disaster that not many films could endure.

It has underwhelmed in the European box office as well.

Beckham was fine.

I left the movie with a slight headache from the filming style. Later when my husband asked if it was good I played the 2 minute trailer for him and let him know he just saw the movie including end shot but without all the fillers. Strong cast. Weak story.
