Ammon, one of the sons of Mosiah, forsakes kingship to become a missionary to the Nephites’ mortal enemy, the Lamanites. Ammon shows great humility as he asks to become servant to the Lamanite king, Lamoni. Later, Ammon defends the king’s flocks against a band of robbers. His faithful example brings Ammon the opportunity to preach unto the king, bringing him and many others to humility, repentance and conversion.

Ammón, uno de los hijos de Mosíah, renuncia a la realeza para convertirse en un misionero del enemigo mortal de los Nefitas, los Lamanitas. Ammón muestra gran humildad mientras pide ser sirviente del rey lamanita Lamoni. Más adelante, Amón defiende los rebaños del rey contra una banda de ladrones. Su ejemplo fiel trae a Ammón la oportunidad de predicar al rey, llevándole a él ya muchos otros a la humildad, el arrepentimiento y la conversión.
