Why didn't they change into objects too??? The enchantress turned everyone who lived at the castle into objects so why weren't they changed, instead of having their memories wiped??? Mrs Potts and Chip lived for so long without their husband/father, it wasn't fair to them, but don't think Cogsworth minded too much with the whole "turn back into a clock, turn back into a clock" as he was being mauled by his wife!!!

Yeah I was a little confused on that too. I guess Mr Potts and Ms Cogsworth didn't live in the castle. But is that realistic? Did servants have spouses in the villages? I don't know actually. (Because I got the impression the human spouses weren't actually ever living or working in the castle, hence not being changed into objects.)

When the spell was cast, those spouses weren't at the castle and became apart of the people who's memories of the place were wiped. The castle wasn't that far away and the curse kept its location hidden. The townsfolk easily walked there that night. So it's not hard to imagine those spouses working in the town or doing business there for things needed at the castle.
