What are the creatures and what do they want? The town people? And why did the family at the end get attacked?

The dad had some kind of beef with the strangers. But the strangers went too far, and one of them killed an innocent girl, so the demons came out of her stomach and ate him.

The strangers were there to kill the dagger bc he was molesting hiss daughter when she was young . I loved that the end tied together with the first story!
