Rodolfo wants to marry the aristocrat Adriana who rejects him. Humberto, her brother, kills a man for her. Rodolfo attributes the crime to the gypsy Renzo so that Adriana will gratefully marry him. Renzo is sent to the island of the condemned, where he is left for dead.

Rodolfo quiere casarse con la aristócrata Adriana que lo rechaza. Humberto, hermano de ella, mata por ésta a un hombre. Rodolfo atribuye el crimen al gitano Renzo para que Adriana, agradecida, se case con él. Renzo es enviado a la isla de los condenados, donde lo dan por muerto.
