I have to say I like the remake a bit better and it was mostly because of Wayne's and Darby's hammy performance but more so Wayne's whose was worse than usual. I think at this point is his career he was about fed up with acting as was just phoning it in even though he was never that great of an actor to begin with. The film was almost a page by page script remake except for the ending which again I liked the remake ending better.
