I am big fan of LCK work, but can't help myself and it felt to me kinda forced, trying to be provocative just on the purpose about abortions, religion and dick talk. What I like most about his comedy is when h talks about relationships and daily life which is right on spot, but just trying to be controversial is not necessarily funny or even just speaking up non-PC truth, because you catch yourself just nodding but not actually laughing.
Btw. what's up with the suit? I noticed it already in some talkshows, but why, was it ever explained?

Yea it was pretty funny, but i agree with u something is off with him, but still funny & worth watching.
As far as the suit thing i'm guessing his popularity has gone down the last couple of years because of the emergence of Bill Burr. So his manger probably suggested he dress better?
In one of his first half hour specials for Comedy Central he wore a suit. Before he went for the natrual slob look.

He was on Jimmy Fallon last week and vaguely spoke about the suit thing. Jimmy asked him "what's with the suit?" and he replied something like "well, i wear suits now, I take care of my appearance, when I was a kid I thought grownups wore suits" - end of totally inaccurate quote (not totally, actually I'm pretty sure he said almost these exact words). And he was intentionally controversial by saying that naps are better than sex.

that's not really controversial statement at his age, just funny comparison, but suggesting that people should kill themselves or women have right to kill babies and lot of other jokes about abortion are controversial in current society, i am not saying i disagree with his points and i didn't laugh, but it was kinda odd, more like family Guy or South Park humor, just trying to push it to stay funny because ordinary topics dried out?

I don't think it's controversial (naps over sex), he stated it was, on a humorous note of course. About 2017, don't know, didn't watch it. Anyway I'm not even a big fan of LCK.

I haven't seen this yet but would be keen to know if it features him doing that women's voice and almost drag-like section that seemed to work it's way into his stand-up? Not really a fan of that, hopefully he's dropped it now he's into manly suits...

quite opposite, he has done much more impressions than usual this time, not fan of that either, especially when he is doing them wrong like with Chinese
actually significant part of his performance was about him being possibly gay

mmm, I'll check it out at some point but, as per your OP, it does sound a bit forced and yeah definitely at his best in the observational every day life sphere. I think his show was perfect for - that escapade with the doll is one of the funniest, yet comprehending, depictions of the potential nightmares of Christmas Eve I've ever seen 😂
