Leonidas, a young, ambitious police officer, is assigned to a remote island in the Aegean Sea. He dreams of solving important crimes, but there are few to be found in the sleepy beach community where he is left to such menial chores. Each day at the town café, Leonidas and the other locals watch the beautiful Angeliki, the small islands most famous daughter, as she hosts a popular talk show on national TV. These daily rituals are shattered when the island experiences what appears to be an actual crime-the island drunk, Zacharias, is found dead at the base of a cliff. Eager to do some sleuthing, Leonidas soon finds clues that tie the victim to Angeliki, who returns to the island and joins the investigation.

Un jeune policier ambitieux fait ses premières armes sur une petite île des Cyclades. Fraîchement émoulu de l'école de police, Leonidas est affecté à Thirassia, dans l'archipel de Santorin, à des tâches subalternes : régler la circulation et faire la chasse aux nudistes. Lui qui rêve d'une carrière brillante s'ennuie à mourir. Jusqu'à ce que la découverte du cadavre de Zacharias, une ancienne star du football, lui permette de déployer ses talents d'investigateur. Son enquête le mène bientôt à autant de suspects que l'île compte d'habitants. Quand la divine Angeliki lui propose de le seconder, il est aux anges. Mais la belle n'aurait-elle pas quelque chose à se reprocher, elle aussi ? Sur fond de paysages sublimes, entre volcans et mer d'azur, une comédie policière rondement menée, avec un jeune premier attendrissant, entouré d'insulaires délicieux et retors.

Das Polizistenleben ist für Leonidas eine Strafe. Denn sein Ehrgeiz korrespondiert nicht mit den Möglichkeiten seines Einsatzortes, kann er doch auf seiner kleinen griechischen Insel nur Nudisten verscheuchen oder harmlose Verkehrssünder jagen. In dieser frustrierenden Ereignislosigkeit kommt der Klippenabsturz des alten Zacharias gerade recht. Ein Unfall, sind die Dorfbewohner überzeugt, doch Leonidas weiß es besser und findet in der schönen Angeliki eine Insulanerin, die seinen Verschwörungstheorien zumindest Gehör schenkt.

Ο Λεωνίδας έχει μόλις αποφοιτήσει από τη Σχολή Αστυνομικών και παίρνει την πρώτη του μετάθεση σε ένα πανέμορφο, πλην όμως απομονωμένο νησί του Αιγαίου. Οι επαγγελματικές του προκλήσεις αρχικά περιορίζονται στο να τοποθετεί πινακίδες «Απαγορεύεται ο Γυμνισμός» στις ερημικές παραλίες του νησιού, όμως όταν ανακαλύπτει το πτώμα του γέρου Ζαχαρία σε ένα γκρεμό, το καθήκον τον καλεί σε δράση. Ήταν ατύχημα ή, όπως υπαγορεύει το ένστικτο του Λεωνίδα, τα πράγματα δεν έγιναν τόσο απλά; Στην προσπάθειά του να βρει τις απαντήσεις, ο Λεωνίδας θα ακολουθήσει μια ανορθόδοξη έρευνα, θα γνωριστεί με όλους τους κατοίκους, θα ερωτευτεί, και μέσα από την πολύ ιδιαίτερη σχέση που θα αναπτύξει με το νησί, θα λύσει τελικά το μυστήριο γύρω από το θάνατο του Ζαχαρία.
