Really? Is that why its rotten on RT? Really? This, this right here is why people fucking hate SJW bullshit. A woman directed a action superhero film, thats why people hate it. Cause its a woman! STFU. Quick everyone forget Wonder Woman! That never happened! We need more diversity more women more gays more trans more more more more! Consume it all you bigots! God, I hate this timeline.

Yeah, and Im ranting/vneting on a film forum. Pretty appropriate I think.

Dear God no. But I will punish myself when it comes out on Disney+ for sure. But that has nothing to do with some people trying to defend this film with the fact that a woman directed it and thats why its doing so bad. Does it?

Nah, viewers are just eager for movies that bring a lightness to our lives for a couple of hours, rather than bludgeoning us with hypocritical al sermons about the importance of diversity. Never mind the fact that Tinseltown remains one of the most psychologically staid enclaves of our nation. In Black Panther, for example, Marvel depicted Africans worshipping animal gods and gyrating around like fools, then tried to mask their retrograde view of an entire continent by outfitting The Wakandans with a handful of Back to The Future-esque gadgets. In Eternals, they're trying to sell us on how much Marvel and Disney love the gays and the women, despite the fact that several gay employees at Disney's theme parks have filed and won lawsuits for wrongful termination and discrimination based on their sexuality

It's the phoniness of their projects that's undercutting them, not the inclusion of so-called marginalized people in the cast

Lets not forget how quickly the Mouse bends the knee to the CCP. I love how they shop out black actors on posters and also edit content to get a passing grade for their censors. Disney, much like most of Hollywood just likes to virtue signal, but when it comes down to it all they care about is money. They didnt give two shits about gays or women, its all about what brings in the cash at the moment. Which I completely understand, but what really bothers me is the fact that they pretend to care.

Life is definitely much simpler when corporations are honest enough to admit that they're out for profit, nothing more. Why and when everyone felt the need to start broadcasting just how much more moral they are than the rest of us, I don't know

I remember when people wanted to occupy Wall Street and fuck big tech/companies. Now its like 'choke me and fuck me daddy!'...dont know what happened in like 12 years.

You just may have elucidated a part of the problem, Rob. In the aftermath of the financial meltdown of '08 and Occupy Wall Street, those who were targeted by all of that f-cking lunacy may have thought it smart to portray themselves as something other than vampires who sucking the nation and the globe dry, infantile as even that vision of Fortune 500 corporations and Big Tech is. Goes without saying, the virtue signaling they've adopted just comes across as cynical and try hard

I just miss the good old days when people knew that big tech and other companies are out for themself only. And they would be praised when they didnt invest money into things that would torture animals. 'Hey, we may have stolen 15 billion from people but at least we didnt kill puppies right guys?'

Did you ever get around to watching it?

I just finished it myself and thought it was pretty bad. Just too many uninteresting characters, too many boring action scenes and too many minutes in the runtime!

I should also point out that if "woke" films upset you then you'll be glad to know that this film is pretty much woke free.

(Unless I missed something that only experts can see)

Most reviews point to this being bad. So I dont think its just a bunch of DC fanboys trying to put it down.
