Píše se rok 1944, spojenecká vojska připravují vylodění v Normandii. Americká armáda trénuje před invazí u britského pobřeží. Během výcviku je potopena americká loď, na níž plují hned tři lidé, kteří znají do všech detailů plány vylodění spojeneckých vojsk. Dva zahynou, třetí je pouze zraněn a ocitá se na nepřátelském území na ostrově Jersey. Britská zpravodajská služba okamžitě připraví akci na záchranu amerického důstojníka. K Jersey se vydává falešný nacista Vogel (George Peppard) se svou konkubínou (Deborah Raffin). Jejich úkolem je přivést Američana do bezpečí, nebo jej usmrtit, aby nepadl do rukou nacistů. |
