来自香港长洲岛的四眼妹罗娇 (钟欣桐 饰),为了向情敌报“一巴掌”之仇,决定参加“出水芙蓉4×100接力赛”。情急之下,“长洲美少女”阿娇更将“飞鱼王子”郭志远 (方力申 饰) 绑架到长洲,充当其私人教练。面对着罗娇以及三位队友 :命犯天杀孤星的“阿玉”(黄圣依 饰)、草食双胞胎“大花”(茜利妹 饰)与“小花”(朱熏 饰),志远只是想逃离“麻婆岛”,当然……没有成功!日以继夜的地狱式训练,令罗娇信心强起来,志远亦对她动了心。一个月夜风高的晚上,志远在单车上突然抱着罗娇,就是这一秒钟,会否成为两人一生一世的开始呢?

香港長洲島是個小地方，人們生於斯長於斯，沒有太大抱負也能享受安逸生活。但是偏偏出了個死心眼的“長洲美少女”羅嬌（鍾欣桐 飾），為了報情敵的一巴掌之仇，決心拉上幾個好姐妹參加“出水芙蓉”4x100游泳接力賽奪下冠軍。為此她綁架到“飛魚王子”郭志遠（方力申飾），逼他訓練自己和姐妹們：命犯天煞孤星的病秧子阿玉（黃聖依飾），草食雙胞胎“大花”（茜利妹飾）與“小花”（朱熏飾）。經過一番刻苦訓練，加上阿嬌無意中遇到“海上觀音”（田亮飾）賦予她的超能力，阿嬌和姐妹們泳技飛漲，郭志遠也慢慢對阿嬌動了心，只是被她誤會喜歡阿玉。比賽終於到來，“海上觀音”顯靈令阿嬌他們獲勝，而阿嬌和郭志遠的愛情卻也隨著志遠被經紀人接走見了分曉……

Gil (Gillian Chung) is a girl who tries to take her own life after being dumped by her boyfriend for another girl, Brenda (Chrissie Chow). Gil gets rescued by a water deity, and believes she has received special powers. Even though she doesn't even know how to swim she enters the Fantastic Water Babes swimming competition, in an vengeful effort to compete against her romantic rival and her friends, and to get back her boyfriend. To master swimming she kidnaps swimming champion Kwok Chi Yuan (Alex Fong Lik Sun) to the island of Cheung Chau, to make him teach her and her friends how to swim.

La storia, commedia romantica oserei dire quasi classica, racconta di Gillian, una ragazza che si vede soffiare il fidanzato da una nuotatrice, tenta un improbabile suicidio dal quale viene salvata, a suo dire, niente meno che dalla dea Guan Yin, il cui incontro è capace di infondere, secondo le credenze popolari, dei poteri sovrannaturali alla fortunata ed infine escogita una vendetta contro la rivale da consumare in una gara di staffetta di nuoto.
