Haru, de 17 anys, emprèn un llarg viatge a través del Japó per buscar respostes en una ciutat on, el 2011, el devastador tsunami es va endur el germà i els pares. Aquest viatge porta a la jove, encara turmentada per la pèrdua, des d'Hiroshima a Tòquio, Fukushima i Ōtsuchi, on una vegada va estar casa seva. Pel camí es troba amb altres persones i les històries de les seves pèrdues.

In her search for answers, 17-year-old Haru sets out on a long journey across the country to the town where, in 2011, the devastating tsunami swept away her brother and parents. This road trip takes the young woman, who is still haunted by her loss, from Hiroshima to Tokyo and Fukushima and all the way to Ōtsuchi, where her family home once stood. On the way she encounters other people, other stories, other lives and other losses. Landscapes and faces. The journey ends in the middle of a garden in full bloom among the scarred surroundings of her coastal hometown.. In it stands a telephone box which, even though it is no longer connected, is used to speak to those who cannot be reached any other way.

　東日本大震災の後、亡くなった大切な人に声を届けようと多くの人が訪れている岩手県大槌町に実在する電話ボックス“風の電話”をモチーフに描くヒューマン・ドラマ。津波で家族を亡くし、広島の叔母に引き取られた少女が、ある出来事をきっかけに故郷の大槌町を目指し、その道中で様々な出会いを重ねて成長していく再生の旅路を描く。主演は「少女邂逅」「おいしい家族」のモトーラ世理奈。共演に西島秀俊、西田敏行、 三浦友和。監督は「ユキとニナ」「ライオンは今夜死ぬ」の諏訪敦彦。

　８年前の東日本大震災で家族を失い、いまは広島に住む伯母の家に身を寄せている高校生のハル。心に深い傷を抱えながらも、叔母に支えられ日常生活を送ってきた。ところがその叔母が倒れて入院してしまい、不安と悲しみから道端で気を失ってしまう。偶然通りかかった男性に助けられた彼女は、一人で故郷の大槌町へ向かうことを決意するのだったが…。

하루는 아홉 살이던 2011년, 동일본 대지진으로 발생한 쓰나미에 부모님과 남동생을 잃고 혼자가 되었다. 이후 하루는 고향인 이와테 현 오츠치를 떠나 히로시마 현의 구레에서 숙모와 단 둘이 산다. 어느 날 숙모가 쓰러져 의식불명 상태가 되자 하루는 다시 혼자가 된다. 이제 하루는 무작정 고향을 향해 길을 나선다.

Este viaje lleva a la joven, todavía atormentada por la pérdida, desde Hiroshima a Tokio, Fukushima y Ōtsuchi, donde una vez estuvo su hogar.
