Super annoying little girl that always cries - check. Superficial and stereotypical characters - check. Nonsensical and stupid story - check. Sexual objectification of female body - check. Violence and huge amount of murdering and blood - check.

Oh yeah, it's a typical anime product for western audiences with bad animation. I don't understand why it's so difficult to make a meaningful and adult animated movie based on somewhat complex and rich reality. Why does it have to be so dumb, focusing mainly on fighting and violence instead of exploring the reality of Altered Carbon and saying something interesting and thought provoking. The live tv show was decent cyber punk with suspenseful story and interesting enough characters. But for some reason the transition to anime medium brings all the worst things the anime can offer. This really makes me doubt the direction Netflix is taking with so many animated extensions of live shows they plan to do in the upcoming year, especially the Witcher animated movie they are working on. Netflix is full with garbage, this one is another piece of crap added to the pile.
