Too slow and ending makes no sense

It would be ok, if they would cut it to like 80 minutes.
The ending with her reading him back just because he is now harmless makes no sense really, why would she take care of him?

I think the movie has to take its time, it’s Julian’s journey and how his secret get out and ruins his life, he almost making it destroy someone else’s life.
