필리페는 성탄절인데도 아내 수전을 두고 먼 곳에서 잡힌 회의에 참석한다며 오르페우스 모텔에 묵는다. 연말인데도 만실이라던 그 모텔에는 어째서인지 손님이 없다. 필리페는 투자자에게 받기로 했던 투자가 어그러져 심난한 상태로 홀로 모텔 레스토랑에서 식사 하다 같은 모텔 투숙객 폴을 만나게 된다. 술기운에 폴과 가볍게 여자 얘기까지 하게 된 필리페는 화장실에 간 사이에 휴대폰에 걸려 온 아내의 전화를 멋대로 받는 폴 때문에 기분이 나빠지고 기분 나빠하며 객실로 돌아온다. 잠시 후 필리페가 이 모텔에서 만나기로 한 손님이 찾아오고 모텔에서 잊지 못할 크리스마스 이브의 밤이 시작되는데...
