在晴朗明媚的日子里，大狗史派克和他可爱的儿子泰克趴在各自的窝里睡觉。小泰克做了噩梦，闭着眼哀声连连，史派克温柔地捧起儿子，安慰这个受惊吓的小家伙，给他喝了口牛奶后继续睡觉。就在这时，汤姆和杰瑞这两对冤家又上演一连串激烈吵闹的追逐战。杰瑞慌不择路，躲到泰克的身上。汤姆追红了眼，不管不顾，拎起泰克四处寻找，他粗鲁的行为自然惹怒了史派克，被对方狠狠地教训了一顿。然而汤姆并未就此善罢甘休，在不吵到史派克父子的前提下，他想方设法要抓到藏在附近的杰瑞。

　　恼人的日子，史派克父子的好梦算是被这两个顽皮的家伙给搅扰了……

Tom is chasing Jerry again. In a panic, the mouse runs into the doghouse of little Tyke, the bulldog. Right next to the sleeping Tyke sleeps Spike, his father. Tom unthinkingly snatches the puppy out of his house. When Spike wakes up and sees this, he delivers a stern warning: Stay away from my boy, or else. Jerry realizes that sticking close to the boy is the best way to repel his feline tormentor, but Tom is not about to let the mouse evade him so easily.

Spike le bouledogue prévient Tom de se tenir loin de son fils, Tyke. Jerry réalise alors que rester près du garçon est la meilleure façon de protéger de son tortionnaire, mais Tom n'est pas prêt de laisser la souris lui échapper si facilement.(Remake en Cinémascope de "Love That Pup".)

Bei einer wilden Jagdversteckt sich Jerry im Hundehaus des kleinen Bulddoggenwelpens. Tom versucht Jerry dort herauszuholen, doch kann er dabei Ärger mit Spike vermeiden?
