IMDb has it as a different person, but I'm not sure I trust that. Look at this picture. The guy to the right looks like the 1214381 Martin Wood? What do you, or anyone else who wants to compare, think?

This is very very tricky, but I actually think those are 2 different persons with the same name. I can't find definite proof [*], but I think that:

1.) they look different on these 2 pictures:

Martin Wood - TMDb 1214381 - IMDb nm0939869 - person on the left

versus

Martin Wood - TMDb 59781 - IMDb nm2468778 - person on the right

They look similar, but they're not the same person, in my opinion. nerd

2.) they seem to be from different countries and work-based in these countries:

The first one (1214381/0939869) is Canadian and works for (mostly) Canadian tv/movie projects as a well-known director.

The second one (59781/2468778) seems to be from Australia and works on projects in Australia -> "Babe: Pig in the City", "Happy Feet", "40,000 Years of Dreaming", "Wild Planet (Redux)", all these productions were (partly) done in Australia, even by the same production company Kennedy Miller.

3.) the first one has a twitter and an instagram account, but does not mention "Happy Feet" at all (as far as I checked). Which would be weird, because it's a very successful movie.

Very tricky ... wink

[*] Well, maybe there is definite proof -> does someone have easy access to "linkedin"? I found 2 links for profiles with this name:

It would be great if someone could check those profiles and give feedback! coffee

Well, according to the first linkedin, Martin Wood is a Vancouver-based director/producer. The only credit listed is as a showrunner for Primeval New World. But he has a website with a big list of credits and his DGC profile is here.

The second one "Martin. G. Wood" is based in Sydney. He has both Happy Feet movies listed on his profile and he did work for "KENNEDY MILLER MITCHELL FILMS PTY LIMITED" at the time Babe: Pig in the City was produced.

Thanks @janar72 and @banana_girl. That should seal the deal! No duplicate. I'm glad I asked. smile_cat

Thanks for checking, @banana_girl! kissing_cat

To prevent this from happening again, I just fixed the English overviews for both of them, added the social media links to the Canadian director, and also added a few images:

https://www.themoviedb.org/person/1214381-martin-wood -> Canadian
https://www.themoviedb.org/person/59781-martin-g-wood -> Australian

Two questions:

1.) I also re-named the Australian producer "Martin G. Wood". Is that okay?

2.) I cropped the image of the Australian producer out of this group photo and upscaled it -> it does not look very good:

Is it still okay - or should we better delete it and wait for a better one?!? thinking

@janar72 Good work!!! I would maybe wait for a better picture, though. thinking

Okay, I removed it. scissors
