Very sad that he had to give up what he long loved doing, not to mention that was his livelihood.
I was a definite fan of Huey Lewis and the News during the '80s. They had so many great hits.

Yes, that's very nice.
"Stuck with You" - also a major hit with a fun video to accompany it.
Huey and the News also appear in a capalo performance of the "Star Spangled Banner" at one point or another before a sports event.
Also, Huey's neat trio with Kim Carnes and Cyndi Lauper, as a subset in the talent-spangled charity anthem "We Are the World."

I'm not the praying type, but that's too bad. That guy has a kind of soothing voice that I like listening to.

Huey Lewis was the only pop music singer who sounded anything like him. Between his voice and his group's songs, which always had a very distinctive sound, he and the group were instantly recognizable anytime one of their new songs would come on the radio.
By the way, I see that his real name is Hugh Anthony Cregg III.
