Biography

Chen Yu Qi (English name: Yukee) is a Chinese actress, born as Chen Qian in Chengdu of Sichuan Province. She graduated from the Department of Arts of Jincheng College of Sichuan University, majoring in performance.

Chen started out as an extra in Hengdian World Studios. She struggled to get roles until she was discovered in 2015 by Tang Yang while filming "Westward Journey 3".

In February 2017, she was awarded the "Annual Emerging Drama Star" at the 2017 China TV Drama Quality Festival for her supporting role in the 2016 costume drama "Princess Wei Yang". In August 2018, she was named the "New Generation Female Artist of the Year" at the InStyle Annual Idol Festival Awards.

Her lead role in the wuxia drama "Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Sabre (2019)" won four awards, namely the "Best Actress in a Network Drama Team" and the "Excellent Actor" at the 6th China TV Good Actor Awards, the "Breakthrough Actress of the Year" at the 4th Jinguduo Internet Film Festival, and the "Breakthrough TV Drama Actor of the Year" at the 2019 Tencent Video Starlight Awards.

In December the following year, Chen won the "Artist of the Year" at the 2020 Tencent Video Starlight Awards.
