Robin really knows how to rise to the occasion to fit the bill when cast in quite a few decent television programs, such as Matlock, Murder, She Wrote and whatnot.
He holds up quite well as a bumbling district attorney who can't quite turn the tables on Matlock, but who can, right? Neither Cops, judges, juries, prosecutors nor witnesses alike don't even know what's going on when they arrest the wrong suspects on detective shows, and then it's up to the star to teach 'em a thing or two.
But when it comes to playing a suspect, Robin surely knows how to look guilty whether he does it or not...AND...he doesn't just blend into the woodwork around great legends such as Angela Lansbury, Norman Lloyd, John McMartin, Ed Wynter and James Sutorius and that bunch.
So that just goes to show that even if you never got the chance to see any of his movies nor most of his other television appearances, you just know that Robin's one great actor by virtue of what little you do get to see of him, and because he's modest enough not to get that, then at least his fans know.
