كامل جبارة مصور فوتوغرافي جزائري. وهو مصور فوتوغرافي لشركة القصبة فيلم، أول شركة إنتاج سينمائي جزائري بعد الاستقلال، تم إنشاؤها خصيصًا للمشاركة في إنتاج الفيلم الأسطوري "معركة الجزائر" عام 1966. تدور أحداث الفيلم عام 1957 في الجزائر، ثار الناس، بدعم من جبهة التحرير الوطني، ضد المحتلين الفرنسيين. يتم استخدام أساليب متطرفة من كلا الجانبين: التعذيب من قبل الجيش الفرنسي والإرهاب من قبل الجزائريين المتمردين ضد السلطة القائمة. الحرب لن تستثني أحدا. وفي منطقة القصبة بالجزائر العاصمة، يرفض الجانح السابق علي لابوانت وقف القتال، حتى عندما يبدو الوضع يائسًا. من جانبه، يحاول الكولونيل ماثيو قدر استطاعته تنفيذ مهمته، حتى لو تطلب الأمر استخدام وسائل جذرية.. ترشح الفيلم 3 مرات لجوائز الأوسكار، وحصل على جائزة الأسد الذهبي في موسترا دي فينيسيا عام 1966.

Kamel Djebara (كمال جبارة) is an Algerian photographer. He is a set photographer for the Casbah Film company, the first post-independence Algerian film production company, created specifically to co-produce the legendary film "The Battle of Algiers" in 1966. The film takes place in 1957, in Algeria, the people, supported by the FLN, revolted against the French occupiers. On both sides, extreme methods are used: torture by the French army and terrorism by the Algerians revolting against the power in place. The war will spare no one. In the Casbah district of Algiers, a former delinquent, Ali La Pointe, refuses to stop the fight, even when the situation seems desperate. For his part, Colonel Mathieu tries as best he can to carry out his mission, even if it means using drastic means... The film was nominated 3 times for the Oscars and was awarded the Golden Lion at the Mostra de Venice 1966.

Le film se déroule 1957, en Algérie, le peuple, soutenu par le FLN, se révolte contre l'occupant français. Des deux côtés, des méthodes extrêmes sont utilisées : la torture par l'armée française et le terrorisme par les algériens en révolte contre le pouvoir en place. La guerre n'épargnera personne. Dans le quartier de la Casbah d'Alger, un ancien délinquant, Ali La Pointe, refuse de stopper le combat, même quand la situation semble désespérée. De son côté, le colonel Mathieu, essaye tant bien que mal de mener sa mission, quitte à utiliser des moyens drastiques... Le film a été nommé 3 fois aux Oscars et a été récompensé par le Lion d'or à la Mostra de Venise 1966.
