Hello, Some (xbmc)-scrapers use "themoviedb" for music-videos and/or "concerts". Is that official supported? I cant find a section for that. Do you have any plans for the future for that? It would be cool if there is a good API for Music-Videos and Concerts. :)

Music videos are not supported (and the same goes naturally for collections of music videos). Concerts are not really supported, but people add them anyhow. We usually allow them as long as they are official releases. In the future, concerts could be a natural part of a possible new video category.

Good :) But if "concerts" are a part of possible new videos in the future you can also add support for classic musiv videos :) But thanks for the answer

A video section would essentially be for all the stuff people want to add but doesn't quite fit into a pure movie database. So it's quite possible that music videos could be a part of that.

I could really use some clarification on the 'video' field. I have recently had some concerts and comedy shows set to 'video' and locked, which means that they won't show up on Letterboxd. For instance https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/370263-jochem-myjer-even-geduld-aub (a comedy show on DVD, just like Eddie Murphy's RAW is), or https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/130484-metallica-live-at-rock-in-rio (a concert on DVD, just like Talking heads' Stop making sense). Admittedly my examples are classics and the ones set to video are not, but still: officials releases and not compilations. Where is this line drawn? These productions should not be considered 'video' according to the criteria set in the help-section...

Raw appears to have been released as a proper movie and reviewed by several movie critics as a movie, which elevates it to movie status. Hard to know what to make of the Jochem Myjer release. Maybe if it is a TV-special it can be changed to a movie. Not sure as I'm not familiar with the title.
The Metallica release appears not to have been something that was reviewed by movie critics so that means it should stay as a video. Most concerts belong in that category. A select few - usually directed by established movie directors - are elevated to movie status by how they are released and reviewed.
At some point maybe we have to add more examples to the documentation. Recently it was decided that wrestling entries should be changed to video so we are still figuring this out.

Thanks for your clarification and agreed on Metallica (which is too bad because I watch those flicks in the gym and was nearly done with that one. All that sweat for nothing!). All I can add about comedy shows is that it's hard to find that kind of information on international releases, In case of Jochem Meyer: It was a TV-special, it's on DVD and on the Dutch Netflix, making it a movie in my book.

Agreed. I changed it.
