When I am on page of movie I just finished I am unable to rate movie, I would expect I can click on current rating and choose my rating but the current rating isn't clickable. Though there is list of rated movies so I guess users can rate movies and it's not just for imported movies from IMDb.

Hi @Markoff
Click the star. All of your account lists can be toggled/used that way.

ah geez, thanks, OTOH it ain't that obvious, i thought it is button for adding to Favorites, since this button doesn't have tooltip/description, it would be nice if actual rating button/circle would also open same option to rate
also in account settings, clicking on Avatar should open page with instructions how to set it by using Gravatar (or please add Change avatar link with these instructions about gravatar), currently it's very difficult for ordinary user to figure out how to change avatar on this website, that they actually need to set up gravatar account, though i have done it and my avatar seem untouched

I also had trouble finding how to rate the movie. It would be easier to locate this, if those icons located on the right side of "user score" would also have a description. Something like this example I made with Firebug.

I had a little trouble figuring this out too, however, one thing I did find a pleasant difference from the IMDB rating option once I figured it out is that unlike at IMDB where it's full stars or nothing, here you can actually rate something with a HALF star! I really like this option!

@satai that's not really difference, for instance 3.5 just means 7 in IMDb, in the end it's still ten steps to rate same as in imdb,i find it inconsistent with default percentage rating, not sure why i can't just choose percents or why they don't show same stars
@travisbell you plan to do something about rating inconsistency, users use stars but system shows globally percentage?

The percentage rating is actually pretty new, I think I pushed that live ~3 weeks ago. It's part of a bigger project going on behind the scenes that will be coming out later this year.
With regards to the user ratings, I decided to keep it simple for now. Yes they are different but at the same time, rating on a 5 star scale is very simple and easy. If I can think of a way to do percentages the same way, I'll consider it.

@travisbell could be pretty much same just little bit longer "thermometer" going from 0 to 100% if you are fan of percentage (me personally prefer percentage more than stars) bit in the end it really doesn't matter if it's stars or percentage, it's just odd inconsistency right now with two different systems

There are tooltip titles missing for Rate the movie and for Create List - in contrast the neighboring buttons Mark as Favorite and Add to Your Watchlist have tooltips.

I think the changes I made today on this should help you and other users out.

I'm trying to rate a movie (The Ledge) I've just watched and there is no star to click on.

I believe you are talking about this one. As you can see, the movie is not yet released. That's why you can't rate it. I believe the current system is entries become rateable a week before their primary release date.

Ah, OK thank you. I watched it this afternoon so not sure why it's not "released" yet
