Just done a rescrape of my Kodi server and now Star Wars Clone Wars Volume 1 & 2 will not scrape, having searched for them here thinking they have been renamed, they now appear to have been removed. Why? another thread (admittingly form 2015) says "this is a DVD compilation and will (or should) have the video property set to yes" Anyone know how or why it was removed?

Both entries were removed because our rules for compilations changed since 2015 (I assume you mean this post by another moderator). You can find the new rule in our Contribution Bible; it says:

"We do not allow all kinds of episode compilation. The type of compilation that are allowed are, for example, random episodes put together into a "movie" (e.g. a Halloween or Christmas themed compilation). However, seasons split into volumes or parts are not allowed.

"Star Wars Clone Wars Volume 1" consists of seasons 1&2 of the tv show, and Volume 2 is season 3 of the tv show -> which means they're not allowed anymore on TMDb and considered to be duplicate content. That's why one of us moderators removed both entries. sparkles

Here is my solution to this issue, hopefully it helps someone else. I sure spent a lot of time on this. With the help of a kodi moderator I was able to scrape these as a TV show. File names are Star Wars Clone Wars (2003)s01e01-02-03-04-05-06-07-08-09-10-s02e01-02-03-04-05-06-07-08-09-10 and Star Wars Clone Wars (2003)s03e01-02-03-04-05. But that is not what I really wanted. When I tried to scrape it as this movie: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/3122-star-wars-clone-wars?language=en it came up as Ep 2, Attack of the clones. I was going to try to export my library or just build build my own NFO for this but then remembered I had added these as movies to my old WDTV. I connected it back to my network and there was an xml file for each that was very close to a Kodi nfo file format. I had the change to movie, added a movie set, added ventress actress, art, and maybe adjusted some other items. The kodi nfo file wiki page is very helpful: https://kodi.wiki/view/NFO_files/Movies

Here is a copy paste of each nfo file.
Edit: I just realized that the tags do not show up in the post, but if you quote this post you will see them. Sorry if this is not supposed to be posted. Paste into note pad (not the volume 1), save as all files with .nfo added to file name, encoding is utf-8. I may work on these some more but so far so good. Good luck.

Thanks for that, although editing the tags from the quote is a pain, any chance of uploading the nfo somewhere? I also found out they have removed the Richard Donnar Cut of Superman II yet they left the making of documentary is that not classed as its own movie anymore as it should be.

Oh I missed the > for each line. Probably easiest to just go line by line and delete it. Delete key, down arrow, delete key, down arrow, etc. Not sure where I could upload the file to share.

Just zip them and slap them up on mega or mediafire.com

Let me see tomorrow. I also have someone at work that probably can do it.

Testing code embed for you
Star Wars
Take a look at the kodi thread, I was able to embed the NFOs as code https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=166637&pid=2859531#pid2859531

Many thanks. Will give them a go.

Curious, did the files work. Did you make any additions to them?

Yeah they work just fine thanks. The only thing was the poster thumbnail was missing so I just added my own.
