The Movie Database Support

I am finding the aspect ratio restrictions to be impossible to follow, particularly when adding photos of people (i.e. Actors, Musicians).

Then you probably needs to familiarise yourself with the cropping features in your preferred program (or find one that has) for editing pictures.

Try this. Easy online tool to resize (custom aspect ratio & size): https://redketchup.io/image-resizer

I tried that site, and followed TMDB's restrictions (1:1.5) but still, TMDB says NOPE, your pixel size is wrong! I have tried off & on for 2 or 3 years but still haven't been able to add an image for an actor/actress on this site. I just do not know why THEY HAVE TO MAKE IT SUCH A PAIN IN THE ***?

I agree, It's a huge pain in the ***. But with https://redketchup.io/image-resizer you can mod the pixel size too, look at the "Resize Dimensions" sections, and be sure to leave "Lock aspect ratio" checked. I use redketchup.io for TMDB and there is a solution ever for this image thing.

It'd be much easier if TMDB had this tool (crop to 1:1.5 aspect ratio and pixels resize) integrated in the site, hopefully they'll have eventually.

Thanks pecas, I'll try that.
